How do I add an app to my vPhone?

You can request apps that are not part of the initial setup and customization process in any of the following ways:

  • Request the app during the setup process.
  • Send a request through the Help app on your vPhone.
  • Send an email to support@hypori.com. You must include the email address associated with your Hypori account.

How can I set up and manage a group of users with vPhones?

Right now, the experience is designed for individuals. Hypori vPhones appear to your current systems as just another BYO device. In the future, we may allow administrators to manage virtual smartphones for a group of users through an online interface.

How do I integrate contacts into my virtual smartphone?

We can help you connect your vPhone to your organization so Google for Work or Office 365 can pull and sync contact information. If you are not using Google for Work or Office 365, we provide a “Contacts” app in the vPhone. You can export contacts from your current solution and import them into your vPhone. The most straightforward way to import into your vPhone is to first configure your email account in your vPhone and then email yourself an export of your contacts.

My company requires an MDM or other management software to get access from a personal device. How do I set this up with my Hypori vPhone?

Reach out to us using the Help app or by emailing support@hypori.com and we can help you configure your vPhone to ensure that you have access to your work accounts. Note that we may need to get connected to your IT department to properly configure management software in the vPhone.

How do I discontinue and delete my Hypori vPhone?

Send us a request through the Help app in the vPhone or send an email to support@hypori.com and we will purge and delete your vPhone.

How do I configure a VPN connection in my virtual smartphone?

Reach out to us using the Help app or by emailing support@hypori.com and we can help you configure a VPN in your vPhone. Note that we may need to get connected to your IT department to properly configure the VPN in the vPhone.

Why can’t I sign into apps in my Hypori vPhone using my work accounts?

You may need mobility management software installed or a VPN connection to sign into work apps properly. Reach out using the Help app in your vPhone or send an email to support@hypori.com and we can assist you.

How do I get a phone number for my Hypori vPhone?

While it’s possible to tie your vPhone to an actual phone number, this isn’t something we’ve configured as a part of the free trial. If you are interested in this capability, let us know through the Help app in your vPhone. As we update the platform, we can enable this capability.

I'm not getting notifications for things happening in my vPhone. How can I fix this?

In iOS, you will need to make sure the vPhone app is launched and in the background. If you swipe the vPhone app away, you will not get notifications. Additionally, on iOS, make sure that under Settings >> General the "Background App Refersh" option is enabled. If this option is not enabled, you will not get notifications. In Android, if you "Force Quit" the vPhone app through Settings, you will need to launch the vPhone app to resume getting notifications. Be sure to reach out through the Help app in the vPhone or by emailing support@hypori.com if you are still having issues.

Why does my keyboard not work properly?

We’ve done some work to allow you to use the keyboard on your physical mobile device to enter and edit text in your vPhone. We’re still working on this capability, including supporting “swype to type” keyboards such as SwiftKey. If you are having issues, we recommend switching to the default keyboard on your mobile device. If that is not an option, reach out to us through the Help app in your vPhone or by emailing support@hypori.com and we can turn off the keyboard feature to allow you to instead use the vPhone's keyboard. Note that performance with the keyboard in the vPhone will vary depending on your network connection to your vPhone.

How do I buy or subscribe to keep my vPhone beyond the free trial?
